About me

I am a Denver native with a passion for sports, travel, adventure, and most recently ceramics. Growing up I always played sports such as basketball, golf, and soccer. I also traveled all around the world to places such as Panama, Mexico city, and Finland. These aspects of my life have greatly influenced my creative side that I express through my ceramics. I took Ceramics as a highschool freshman and fell in love with the idea of creating tangible art that had a purpose. I first started ceramics by using clay to build my favorite things, such as a prototype golf driver or recreations of my favorite sculptures I had seen on my travels. I continued to take ceramics for all four years of highschool. My interests shifted from practical hand built sculptures to more abstract wheel thrown pieces. By my senior year I was taking advanced placement ceramics where I would create a themed portfolio. After a lot of brainstorming I settled on “movement” as my theme. I wanted to create practical ceramic vases that had an artistic flare. At the end of the year I selected my favorite 15 pieces and created a portfolio to be featured in local art galleries. As I continue to create art, my focus has shifted to designing interactive and unique pieces of work. I hope to incorporate my original values along with new techniques that I learn to create a wide variety of digital and physical art.
