Ever since I was little my friends and I would love to film ourselves doing various silly activities. One summer we would spend our free time filming skateboarding videos of us riding down hills and jumping over each other. One thing that I learned from this experience is that I love action films, or anything involving the outdoors. I am still in the early brainstorming stages, but I would like to incorporate some of my favorite activities such as rock climbing, skiing, golfing, and football.
After a lot of brainstorming and practice in Adobe After Effects I have created a rough play. I want to incorporate my favorite activities but have it done in space. I might start it off by taking a rocket ship into space and landing on mars. I think that it will be very interesting and unique to use animation in a zero gravity environment. One idea I have is to use all of the red bricks around campus as a backdrop for land on mars. I would also like to hit a golf ball in real life and edit it in After Effects. I think it would be very cool to film action sports in real life, then use after effects to show what it would be like in space.
While this is just a rough idea of what I want it to look like, I think it is a very good starting point. I have many different ideas and I know if I just start filming and editing
